Father we woke up to a Satisfying and Delightful Saturday morning and we admit that we may still be a little drowsy and maybe a little cranky because of the cold air, but we are speaking to our inner being: “I’m ready, Father, so ready, ready from head to toe, Ready to sing, ready to raise a tune: ‘Wake up, soul! Wake up, harp! wake up, lute! Wake up, you sleepyhead!'” We want to start our day with You on our mind. We start our day rejoicing that You gave us a pleasant rest.
For those who worked last night, allow them to have a peaceful rest today so when they wake up they will be refreshed and their spirits renewed. For You alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the Glory of God the Father.
We want to tell all of our friends and family around the world, even our brothers and sisters who share the delight in their faith, “Be brave. Be strong. Don’t give up. Expect our God to do wondrous things in your life! For those of you who are waiting on our Lord, Be strong and let your heart take courage!”
Father, we read in your letter what you wrote about us, and we are coming to the party you’re throwing for us! When Your Word entered our lives, You became part of our very being. We admit that we cannot take another breath of air without acknowledging that it was a gift from You. Thank you, Father!
We arise refreshed and renewed and ready to take on our day with the anointing you have poured into our heart. Our minds are clear and we are free from any depression and curse any attempts of our enemy to weaken and discourage us.
Right now, we announce to the world that our day is committed to our Lord! We ask that Your Spirit would continue to guide and direct our steps and direct us to impact those we meet today and to encourage those who need a brighter attitude. If any of us are weak and disheartened, then change us! Charge up our spirits like we would charge our car batteries! Holy Spirit, open the eyes of our understanding so we can know You, Your will, Your ways.
We thank You for your Word that is changing the way we interact with our family and friends. Penetrate our hearts by the power of Your Holy Spirit. We will yield to Your will and ways. And nothing will dissuade from our service to you and to your people. In fact, we will meet with other brothers and sisters today to worship you. And you are so worth the praises and worship will offer.
Today, order our steps for this is the day that You have made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. Amen! ~Nickolas Hiemstra who is alive and well and celebrating another day where he can walk with his Lord!
