Greet A New Day

We praise You Yahweh. We acknowledge Your might and power and authority in our lives. We greet a new day, a day You have made for us. We give our praise and glory to Your name because of your mercy and faithfulness! Our spirits rejoice in You, our Savior. You have looked with favor on us and allowed us, through the gift of Your wonderful Son, to sit with You, in Your very presence.

You are the Almighty and have done great things for each of us, and Your Name is Victorious and Holy!. You have mercy on those who fear You in every generation. You have shown the strength of Your arm, and have scattered the proud in their conceit. You continue to cast down the mighty from their thrones, and lift up the lowly. You have filled the hungry with good things, and those who rely on their own wisdom and riches, You have sent them away empty. You have come to the aid of Your servants, because You have remembered Your promise of mercy, the promise that You made to Abraham and his children for ever.

This week we are focused on the day that You acted and bought for us our Redemption through the suffering and blood of Your Son. We stand bewildered at such love and concern. We stand amazed that You even remember us and take care of us. You declared that You have made us a little lower than yourself, and we stand amazed. You have crowned us with glory and honor. You have made us to rule what your hands created and have put everything under our control: all the sheep and cattle, the wild animals, the birds, the fish, whatever swims in the currents of the seas. You have freed us from everything that has enslaved us and burdened us each day of our lives!

How can any of this be true? O Lord, how majestic is your name throughout the earth! This Marvelous Monday morning we will rejoice and be glad in it. Glory to our Father, and to Your Son, and to Your Holy Spirit: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. But we wake up to the Righteousness You have given us as simple as it may seem, we say thank you, Father.

Amen! ~Nickolas Hiemstra, who is simply amazed and stand wondering how magnificent our King really is!
