Nothing Short of A Fabulous Friday!

Father, when we woke up this morning we realized it was nothing short of another Fabulous Friday, and that is such a wonderful thought. We are able to praise you, O LORD, with all our hearts; and when we face the other “gods” honor in their lives, we will sing your praise. We will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name because your love and your faithfulness, and because you have exalted above all things your Name and your Word. When we call out to you, you actually answer us; you make us bod and stouthearted!

You are our salvation! We will trust and not be afraid, because you Lord God, are out strength and song; yes, you have become our joy and salvation! We fully understand that it is in repentance and rest that we find our salvation; it is in quietness and trust that we find your strength! We will not be afraid, because you are with us. We will not be discouraged, because you are our God. You strengthen us and help us. You hold us up with your victorious right hand. With your Name we stand strong and unafraid of what men can say or do to us.

So with all that, we thank You for whatever today and everything that it holds for us. We commit and dedicate our ways unto You this morning. Please guide and direct our steps. Use us to impact those we meet today with words and actions that will bring them encouragement and strength. We have found those same attributes in our own lives, and our hope is that others will discover the same in their lives.

Change us! Open the eyes of our understanding to know You, Your will, Your ways. No longer with we wander around like a chicken with its head cut off. We act and demonstrate lives of sound and disciplined minds.

We thank You for the many wonderful way you Word has formed our thoughts and influenced our choices. Penetrate my heart by the power of Your Holy Spirit so we can yield to Your will and ways with hesitation and second thoughts. Order out steps because this is the day that you have made for us, and we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Amen! ~Nickolas Hiemstra
