Father, we awoke to a Fabulous Friday Morning, searching for you and your strength; once again, looking lovingly upon your face. You are the Lamb of God who has taken away the sins of the world. Have mercy on us. This morning, give us a taste of your peace.
You certainly know that at times we are foolish, and you are fully aware of our faults. They are never hidden from you. Sometimes, it feels that our sins are stronger than we are, but yet, you are willing to blot them out, to erase them and throw them in the sea of forgetfulness. We certainly don’t understand how or why you do it, but we thank you for the privilege of be invited into your family.
Who am I to be part of Your people,
the ones that are called by Your Name?
Could I be chosen as one of Your own
could it be that our blood is the same?
How can a stranger a remnant of nations
Belong to this royal line?
You showed Your grace when the branch es were broken
and I grafted into the vine.
Ba ruch Ha Shem Adonai Baruch Ha Shem Adonai.
Blessed be the Name of the Lord, Baruch Ha Shem Adonai
How could You show me such bountiful mercy
by taking the life of the Lamb?
Your love is greater than I can imagine
I bless You with all that I am.
Praise to you, Jesus, the veil has been parted
and what once was secret is known.
Now I can cry to You, Abba my Father
and praise You as one of Your own!
Our Father in heaven,
let your name be kept holy.
Let your kingdom come.
Let your will be done on earth
as it is done in heaven.
Give us our daily bread today.
Forgive us as we forgive others.
Don’t allow us to be tempted.
Instead, rescue us from the evil one (Matthew 6:9-13)
O Father, through the glorious resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ, you have destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light: Grant that this each one of us, who have been raised with him, may abide in your presence and rejoice in the hope of eternal glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be dominion and praise for ever and ever. Amen.
Lord God, almighty and everlasting Father, you have brought us safety to this new day: Preserve us with your mighty power, so that we will not fall into sin, nor be overcome by adversity; and in everthing we set our hands to, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose; through Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen. ~Nickolas Hiemstra, who is rejoicing that we are near the end of another week, and that soon, will be rejoicing and celebrating with his brothers and sisters the Resurrection of our Lord!
