Father, you are the Almighty God; The Great I Am, an Immovable Rock; an Omnipotent, powerful, Awesome Lord; you have continually proved yourself as a Victorious Warrior; Commanding King of Kings and Mighty Conqueror, yet you still reach down to rescue us! We stand amazed and overwhelmed at the Mercy you have shown us. Thank you.
You ARE our God, and you ARE such an Awesome God! You reign from heaven above, yet still live in our hearts bringing Wisdom, power and love! You are OUR Awesome God! Because of this, we will sing you a new song, because you have never weakened and shied away from seemingly impossible things, and have done such marvelous things. With your right hand and you holy arm, you have always won the victory! And you LORD, have made known your victories; your righteousness has always been openly shown in the sight of the nations.
As we face this new day, we are know that you will remain our strong rock, a castle to keep us safe, a crag and a stronghold to which we can run at a moments notice. For the sake of your Name, lead us and guide us in every situation and during every conversation. Your goodness is great, O Lord, which you have laid up for those who fear you; which you have done in the sight of the whole world, and even the quietness of our prayer closets.
We will remain strong and our heart will take courage, and we will wait for as long as it takes, LORD. The Psalmist declared, “When Yahweh restored the fortunes of Zion, it was as if we were dreaming. Then our mouths were filled with laughter and our tongues with joyful songs. Then the nations said, ‘Yahweh has done spectacular things for them’”
Well, you HAVE done spectacular things for each of us, and we are overjoyed. So today, restore our fortunes, O Yahweh, as you restored streams to dry riverbeds in the Negev. It is always true, that those who cry while they plant, will joyfully sing while they harvest! The person who goes out weeping, carrying his bag of seed, will come home singing, carrying his bundles of grain! (Psalm 126). This is what we ask of you for today! Amen! ~Nickolas Hiemstra, celebrating another Marvelous Monday Morning!
